Der Earth Day ist zwar eigentlich erst am 22. April, dies hindert Apple aber nicht daran, sich mit 25 Entwicklern aus seinem AppStore zusammenzutun und in diesem Zusammenhang eine Aktion zugunsten des WWF (World Wildlife Fund) zu starten. Unter dem Motto "Apps für unsere Erde" gehen bis zum 24. Apil sämtliche Erlöse, die über die teilnehmenden Apps erzielt werden (auch In-App Käufe zählen dazu), an den WWF. Als Zeichen der Unterstützung haben die Entwickler die Icons ihrer Apps für den Aktionszeitraum grün gefärbt und teils mit neuen Inhalten angereichert, um zum Kauf zu animieren. So hat die Foto-App Enlight zu diesem Zweck ein Natur-Thema, sowie neue Presets und Decals integriert. Nachstehend die komplette Liste der teilnehmenden Apps:
